Pastor Holiness Barnes, Jr.
A native of Madison County MS, Pastor Holiness Barnes Jr. is the oldest son of Mr. Holiness and Anna Barnes Sr. Pastor Barnes is a graduate of Rosa A. Scott High School in Madison, MS. He earned a Bachelor of a Science in Heath and Physical Education from Jackson State University, Jackson, MS and Science, Math, and Drivers Education, “A” Certificate from Jackson State University. He has done further studies at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Pastor Barnes is married to the former Betty J. Cotton of Jackson, MS. They are the proud parents of four daughters, grandparents of one grand-daughter, and four grandsons. Pastor Barnes was called by God to preach, and is committed to serve God in the highest capacity; this commitment has manifested itself in service on the local, state and national levels.
He began his service in the Ministry at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Thomastown, Mississippi. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 28:19, “Go ye therefore and teach all nations…”. Pastor Barnes is a man of God that preaches in the pulpits and streets trying to win souls to Christ. He encourages all believers to become witnesses in outreach ministry to restore the lost to Christ.
Pastor Barnes’ prayer is that the Word of God will become a source of energy in all our lives that will enable us to make a spiritual difference in the world in which we live as the greatest teacher Jesus Christ did when he walked this earth.
